PISCATAWAY, NJ — Middlesex County health officials reported the number of COVID-19 cases decreased by 1 overnight after data verification, reducing the total to 794 Piscataway residents who have tested positive for COVID-19. 

The reported death toll remains at 30 for the township.

There are now 14,834 positive cases in Middlesex County and 903 deaths, according to covid19.nj.gov.

Statewide, there are 149,013 cases, an increase of 974 overnight, with 10,586 deaths reported, an increase of 151 since Monday, according to the State Department of Health.

Residents are reminded to remain vigilant in following the guidance provided by the Centers for Disease Control, the State of New Jersey, and public health officials when it comes to social distancing, hand washing, covering coughs and sneezes, and disinfecting common areas. These are the best ways to reduce the rapid spread of the virus.
