PISCATAWAY, NJ — At long last, COVID-19 restrictions are being lifted and children can once again swing, climb, and slide at Piscataway playgrounds.

Piscataway recreation officials made the announcement on Tuesday that the yellow caution tape and orange safety fences are coming down starting Wednesday at select parks and fitness areas.

Irishtown, Perrine, Quibbletown, Red Bud and Suskin parks are the first to reopen with others to follow over the coming weeks as new safety and cleanliness measures are put in place.

“Park usage is at your own risk,” reminded recreation officials. “Everyone should wear masks and practice social distancing.  Parents should please make sure that children clean their hands with hand sanitizer or a similar product.”
