PISCATAWAY, NJ - Middlesex County health officials reported 26 new positive COVID-19 cases on Wednesday, bringing the total to 399 residents who have tested positive in Piscataway. No additional information regarding the new cases was provided.

There are now 6,576 positive cases in Middlesex County and 248 deaths, according to covid19.nj.gov.

71,030 New Jersey residents have tested positive for COVID-19, and the death toll is at 3,156.

Statewide there are 72,991 negative test results reported.

The increasing cases are expected as the total number of positive cases throughout the state has increased, said health officials.

Residents are reminded to remain vigilant in following the guidance provided by the Centers for Disease Control, the State of New Jersey, and public health officials when it comes to social distancing, hand washing, covering coughs and sneezes, and disinfecting common areas. These are the best ways to reduce the rapid spread of the virus.
