May 19, 2022CARTERET, NJ — A gunman killed a 27year-old man and wounded another on Wednesday as the pair sat inside a parked car on Lincoln Avenue, according to authorities.
The deadly afternoon shooting prompted a temporary lockdown at Nathan Hale Elementary School, a block away on Roosevelt Avenue, as police searched the area for the shooter. The gunman remains at large.
