PLAINFIELD, NJ — A Breaking News Network alert was issued Sunday afternoon about two stabbings on the 300 block of Monroe Avenue in Plainfield. Multiple police units were on site, along with at least two EMS vehicles.

TAPinto Plainfield reached out to Police Director Lisa Burgess for confirmation, who said, "There is only one individual cut to my knowledge. However, I have no additional information at this time."

The director also said today's incident is not related to one that took place on Sunday, March 28, when officers were called to the same area on a report of a man wielding a machete and acting erratically.
