NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ – A Metuchen man has been arrested on charges for crashing into a motorcyclist from Piscataway, seriously injuring the man, said Middlesex County Acting Prosecutor Christopher L.C. Kuberiet and Chief David Irizarry of the Metuchen Police Department.
Investigators found that at about 7:14 p.m. on Nov. 21, Anthony Bing, 38 was driving a 1996 Chevrolet Camaro on Central Ave. in Metuchen when he crossed into oncoming traffic, crashing into a 2013 Victory motorcycle near Copperfield Lane, said Kuberiet on Saturday.
The motorcyclist, a 47-year-old man from Piscataway suffered life-threatening injuries in the crash, said Kuberiet. He was taken to JFK Hospital for treatment and was later transferred to University Hospital in Newark.
Bing is charged with aggravated assault, and assault by auto occurring in the vicinity of a school zone, said Kuberiet.
He is being held at the Middlesex County Adult Corrections Center in North Brunswick.
