SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ -- The public is invited to join Dr. Rosalind Dorlen, Psy.D, at the Scotch Plains Public Library on Friday, Nov. 22, when she will present the concept that mental health problems are not a “normal” part of aging and that mental health plays an important role in our physical health.
She will provide helpful suggestions and steps that seniors can take to continue to thrive, grow and enjoy life more fully. Dr. Dorlen will address stress and its harmful effects on our health, longevity and well-being. She will lead a discussion about the challenges and barriers to receiving help for psychological issues including stigma, transportation, and housing. This presentation will be useful to both seniors and caregivers.
Admission is free, coffee, tea and snacks will be served.
The program will be held from 10:00 am to 11:30 am at the Scotch Plains Public Library, 1927 Bartle Ave. You can register at https://H2Hlibrarymentalhealthforum.eventbrite.com or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
