PLAINFIELD, NJ - Plainfield Public Schools' Interim Superintendent Ronald E. Bolandi issued a statement on Thursday about Joshua Green, a PAAAS teacher who was arrested this week, stemming from a 2015 incident with a student at Mahwah High School where Green had worked.
According to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes, Green was charged with two counts of Second Degree Sexual Assault, one count of Second Degree Official Misconduct, and one count of Third Degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child for sexual relations with a teenage victim.
Bolandi said, “Mr. Green has been placed on administrative leave and the district will be reviewing the criminal charges with the district attorney as it relates to Mr. Green's employment in the Plainfield School District. Due to an active criminal investigation the district will make no further comment.”
