PLAINFIELD, NJ - The Reconnections Program provides assistance to individuals who were recently incarcerated, and is available at the One Stop Career Center in Plainfield.
"The Reconnections Program is a Union County prisoner re-entry initiative. It's a partnership between the Urban League of Union County, the United Way of Greater Union County, the County of Union and the Union County Department of Human Services," according to Karen Miller, Assistant Case Manager at the Urban League of Union County.
It is an ongoing program for individuals who have recently been released from prison, Miller added.
Services are available in the following areas:
- Social services
- Healthcare, drug, mental health treatment
Walk-ins are welcome on Mondays and Tuesdays from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. Participants must be 18 years or older and a Union County resident.
