NEW JERSEY - Grocery store chain, ALDI is hosting a statewide, one-day hiring spree at all 42 of its New Jersey locations including Piscataway on Wednesday, Oct. 11 from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
"What’s unique about ALDI is their wages and benefits are higher than the national average for the retail industry, and much higher than the New Jersey minimum wage of $8.44," said store officials in a news release.
Depending on the store location, store associates can earn $12.00-$12.40 per hour, shift managers, $12.00 - $12.40 per hour, plus additional $4.25 per hour premium when performing manager duties.
The earning potential for a manager trainee is $52,000-$56,160 per year ($25.00 - $27.00 per hour averaging 40-50 hours per week) with an opportunity to earn $75,000 - $95,000 per year as a store manager.
ALDI staff averaging more than 25 hours a week are eligible for full health insurance benefits and dental coverage. All employees are invited to participate in the 401(k) program.
The job requirements are as follows:
• Must be 18 years or older to apply
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Must be available to work anytime between 6 a.m. and 11 p.m., Monday - Sunday
• Retail experience preferred
• Management experience preferred for Manager Trainees
• Drug screening and background check
• Ability to lift 45 pounds
The hiring spree is in support of the ongoing growth of ALDI’s existing stores as well as to hire employees for the upcoming New Jersey stores in Egg Harbor, Flemington, Hamilton and Old Bridge.
The grocer is looking to fill 250 positions across all of New Jersey.
