PSE&G reports extensive damage to their infrastructure due to several fallen trees. Although crews will continue to work through the night, the restoration process will most likely take a few days.
PSE&G reminds residents that downed wires should always be considered “live”. Do not approach or drive over a downed line and do not touch anything that it might be in contact with.
The company also says to prevent carbon monoxide poisoning, do not run any gasoline-powered engine, including generators and snow blowers, in a garage or other enclosed space. Clear snow from dryer and hot water heater vents.
