EDISON, NJ -- Christian Nowicki, Joe Stulec, and Jack Sartor each scored three goals and Drew Cummins was sensational in goal to spark the surging Union Catholic/Wardlaw+Hartridge boys lacrosse team to an 11-1 victory over J.P. Stevens on Tuesday in Edison.

The co-op program, which didn't win a game in its inaugural season last year, is off to a surprising 2-0 start this season.  

UC/WH jumped out a 5-1 halftime lead and dominated the game with 31 shots and 50 ground balls on its way to the victory over J.P. Stevens, which is now 1-2 on the season.

In addition to the three goals each by Stulec, Nowicki, and Sartor, Zach Raouf and Ryan Brace also scored for UC/WH. Stulec, who scored three goals in the season opening 5-4 victory over Pompton Lakes, now has six goals on the season.  Brace also had two assists, and Ryan Evely, Rauf, Stulec, Jason Yin, Chris Erlandsen, and Lucas Danchisko each had an assist.  

Cummins was great in goal again for UC/WH with 13 saves.
