PLAINFIELD, NJ - This Saturday, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., the Plainfield Area Humane Society will participate in Clear the Shelters day. There will be a total of seventy-five cats and thirty-five dogs for sale.  The Plainfield Area Humane Society is located at 75 Rock Avenue in Plainfield.

Clear the Shelters is a nationwide pet adoption drive that will help find loving homes for animals in need. According to the national Clear the Shelter website:

NBC and Telemundo owned stations are teaming up with hundreds of shelters across the country to host Clear the Shelters, a nationwide pet adoption drive on Saturday, August 17 to help find loving homes for animals in need. More than 250,000 pets found their forever homes since 2015.

The cost of the pets is $10.00, and senior pets are free.
