PLAINFIELD, NJ - The Plainfield Public Library will be hosting an event to celebrate National Dance Day with the New Jersey Tap Ensemble on July 29.
Launched in 2010 by “So You Think You Can Dance” co-creator and Dizzy Feet Foundation co-president Nigel Lythgoe, National Dance Day is observed on the last Saturday in July. The day was created as a way to increase awareness of the benefits of dance.
Each year Dizzy Feet creates instructional videos that offer participants across the nation a chance to learn a routine uniting dancers everywhere. The 2017 routine features Jade Chynoweth and Carlito Olivero.
The Plainfield Public Library's event will take place in the Anne Louise Davis room on July 29 at 11:00 am. The library is located at 800 Park Avenue.
