PLAINFIELD, NJ - On Friday at approximately 4:50 pm, Plainfield Police Division responded to a motor vehicle crash involving a pedestrian. A woman was turning at the intersection of West 7th Street and Central Avenue in Plainfield and failed to yield where a mother and her two-year old child in a stroller were crossing.
The vehicle clipped the stroller, according to Plainfield Police Director Carl Riley. He said the child suffered just minor injuries, but was transported to the hospital as a precaution.
The driver, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle was not injured but was issued a summons for failure to yield to a pedestrian in the crosswalk.
