City of Plainfield Introduces Report It Platform to Residents

Plainfield, NJ – August 3, 2020- The City of Plainfield is pleased to present Report It, a community reporting platform, to Plainfield residents. Report It brings accessible reporting tools to the community, allowing residents and visitors to easily share important concerns, suggestions, or comments through their smartphones or computers with anonymity.

Residents will have the ability to report information to several of the City’s departments including:

• Communications Division

• Inspections

• Zoning

• Department of Public Works

• Health Department - Animal Control

• Police Department - Disabled/abandoned vehicles

Mayor Adrian O. Mapp indicated his pleasure at implementing this important communication tool, “As we work to address quality of life issues in Plainfield, it is vital to have the co-operation of the community. The Report It app gives every resident the opportunity to play a part in keeping our city safer, healthier, and informed. It also facilitates swifter action on the part of our team. We look forward to seeing the difference that this app will make here in Plainfield.”

Reporting is quick and simple. Residents will open the app (available on iOS and Android) or visit www.reportit.com, select the department they want to connect with, and provide information regarding their concern. Users will also be able to attach a picture or video to accompany their report. Once the report is submitted, it will be sent to appropriate personnel for review and action.

Report It connects residents directly to City officials, allowing for quick turnaround time and ultimately, an improved quality of life and security. Report It gives residents and visitors the opportunity to be the eyes and ears of our city. With a few quick taps, they can report their concerns and take part in keeping our communities safe.
