CLARK, NJ – Clark Police issued a notice to residents Monday about a possible attempted luring of a 12-year-old girl during her walk home from Kumpf Middle School.
According to police, the child was near St. Agnes Church on Madison Hill Road when a thin white male with grayish white hair in his late sixties or seventies approached her in a white late model sedan.
The driver asked the girl if she needed a ride home, police said.
Police said that the incident, although reported now, took place on Sept. 13. There are no other descriptions of the vehicle or the driver.
Kenilworth police are investigating a similar incident that took place two days earlier. In that incident, a David Brearley High School student was approached by an unknown man who asked if she wanted a ride while she was walking home from school.
According to Kenilworth police, the driver was a white male with gray hair who was between 30 and 40 years old. The man approached the student near the Boulevard and Coolidge Drive at approximately 4:30 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 11, police said.
