PLAINFIELD, NJ — Monday, August 10, is the deadline to complete the Plainfield Public Schools survey to opt into an all virtual school format vs. a social distancing hybrid model.
Both "A" and "B" days will be designated in the hybrid model with one day at school and the next at home, and will alternate each day. All schools will operate on the same A/B day schedule. Students will eat hot meals on their Brick and Mortar day, and receive a "Grab and Go" meal to take home for the following virtual day of learning.
Each student will have a device, and the district will continue to provide WiFi hotspots and devices to families in need.
If you want your child to attend via the hybrid model, you do not need to take further action. If you do not complete the survey, your child will automatically be enrolled in the hybrid model.
A separate survey must be filled out for each child if you choose an all virtual format.
The Board of Education will meet Tuesday, August 11 at 8 p.m. for a Work & Study session; the Zoom login information is available on the home page of the district's website.
A virtual parent session is scheduled for Thursday, August 13 at 6:30 p.m.
