SPRING LAKE, NJ (December 12, 2013) – Downtown New Jersey (DNJ) announced today that Peter Primavera of Plainfield has accepted the position as Executive Director of the organization. DNJ is the source and network for anyone involved in creating vibrant and successful downtowns.
Primavera has been a professional consultant in historic preservation and cultural resource management for 29 years, and worked in those fields for seven years before that while a undergraduate and graduate student.
“We are very pleased that Peter has become part of Downtown New Jersey,” commented Michael Redpath, President of DNJ. “We have been refocusing the organization for the past two years and moving to this level of professional management has been a major goal throughout that time. Peter will lead that growth and expansion.”
He has served on numerous nonprofit boards, and was one of the founding participants in Main Street Highland Park. He founded the consulting firm CRCG in 1984, which grew to conduct studies all over the eastern seaboard, with offices in Highland Park, Philadelphia, and New York, serving as CEO for 26 years. In 2010 he founded Peter Primavera Partners, llc, and the National Landmarks Alliance. He is also the Managing Partner in Garden State Legacy.com. He remains an active principal in all three while managing DNJ.
Primavera's extensive business skills, nonprofit experience, public/private sectors work, and experience in hundreds of NJ communities will be extremely helpful as he manages and implements the DNJ board's vision for expansion, service, and communication.
