PLAINFIELD, NJ - Founded in 1926, the duCret School of Art is located in one of the oldest historic homes in Plainfield, NJ.

The duCret building was originally built in 1896 by the George Strong family and was later converted into a school in the 1930's by the Wardlaw-Hartridge School. Since duCret’s purchase of the building in the 1970’s the house has been a site for the preservation and promotion of fine art. duCret has nurtured many local artists as well as art collectors who have gifted the school numerous works of art. Hundreds of original pieces will fill the house, hallways, and auditorium this holiday season.
