FANWOOD, NJ -- A car crash involving two vehicles at the intersection of North Ave. and Martine Ave. near Fanwood's historic train station sent three people to area hospitals on Tuesday evening, according to Fanwood Fire Chief John Piccola.
The accident happened shortly before 8:00 p.m. when a Fiat was traveling westbound with a green light was struck by a vehicle heading south on Martine Avenue that ran a red light, according to Fanwood police.
Two of the victims were transported to Muhlenberg for injuries. One of the people involved in the accident was taken to Overlook Hospital with more serious injuries, Fire Chief Piccola said.
Members of the Fanwood police, fire and rescue squads responded. No further details are available at this time.
