PLAINFIELD, NJ - Candidates must file petitions by 4 p.m. April 1 for two four-year City Council seats and 68 two-year Democratic City Committee seats on the June 4 Primary ballot.
Council winners on June 4 will be on the November 5 general election ballot. Democratic Committee winners, a male and female in each of Plainfield’s 34 voting districts, will reorganize on the Monday following the primary election and serve for two years.
Council incumbents are Cory Storch, completing his fourth term representing the Second Ward, and Barry Goode, the 2015 winner of the First and Fourth Ward at-large seat.
Candidates for three seats on the school board must file petitions by 4 p.m. on Monday, July 29 to be on the Nov. 5 general election ballot.
