PLAINFIELD, NJ - After Linden built a 22-point lead, Plainfield's football team staged a second-half rally, but fell short in a 26-18 loss to the Tigers on Saturday afternoon.

Darryl Kennedy's return of a fumble for a 12-yard touchdown pulled the Cardinals to within eight, 26-18, in the fourth quarter.

In the third period, Jaleel Simmons threw his second TD pass of the game to Jayson Bryant as Plainfield (1-1) made the score 26-12. Simmons connected with Bryant on scoring passes of 67 and 31 yards in the game.
