What does getting IC3 certified mean?
As part of the IC3 program, you will be able to take one or more of the IC3 certification exams at no cost to you. The cost of these exams is covered by the NJLWD and the Union County Workforce Development Board. The IC3 covers mostly non-technical material with some technical elements. Due to this, the IC3 provides a challenge to students of all backgrounds. The IC3 is a positive addition to your resume, especially since the activities and focus are geared towards the latest tech - Windows 10.
How can this help me get a job, and what kind of jobs?
The IC3 can help employers recognize your skills as most current for computer understanding and usage. The skills covered in the IC3 are vital for “office” jobs within an administrative setting or desk-type jobs. Although the IC3 is not a technical certificate, it could also be used as a stepping-stone to get into a technical job or field.
