PLAINFIELD, NJ — On May 6, 2021, at 12:00 noon, the Greater Central Jersey Clergy Association will virtually host its annual National Day of Prayer program. The Virtual National Day of Prayer program will be hosted in partnership with local community churches and faith-based organizations.
The National Day of Prayer is an annual observance held on the first Thursday of May, inviting people of all faiths to pray for the nation. It was created in 1952 by a joint resolution of the United States Congress and signed into law by President Harry S. Truman. (National Day of Prayer Taskforce, 2021) This year’s theme: “Lord, Pour Out Your Love, Life and Liberty” from 2 Corinthians 3:17.
The annual National Day of Prayer program will be broadcast from Facebook Live on the GCJCA website at https://gcjca.org.
