PLAINFIELD, NJ — Mrs. Frazier is a teacher at Clinton Elementary School in Plainfield. According to her DonorsChoose.org campaign, she seeks your help to give her students the Chromebooks needed to be successful in math.
Her campaign is seeking $1,427, and only needs $677 to be fully funded. The best part is that the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation is offering a triple match, so the campaign now only needs $226!
Frazier says, "I love seeing the growth in my students! Teaching 5th grade is the best because you can see how the students come in as elementary school students but leave as middle school students. My students grow right before my eyes, and I am there to help guide them along the way. I love teaching this group of students. They motivate me to strive for more and give my best. When they move on to middle school they often come back to visit saying they miss my class."
Project Title: Mathematical Mindsets
Teacher: Mrs. Frazier
School: Clinton Elementary School, grades 3-5
Mrs. Frazier's Project: The use of technology is a daily activity in my classroom! Students learn best by reinforcing their concepts on a daily basis. If you keep the students engaged, they will enjoy learning. Each day the students will be working in Math Centers to keep them engaged.
The five Chromebooks will be used within the Math Centers on projects, math games, math tutorial videos, Google Classroom assignments, and more. If I had Chromebooks in the classroom for the students to use they could engage in more project based learning. I will have each student on the computer switching every 20 minutes throughout the day.
Project Goal: $1,427
Still Needed: $226, as long as the triple match lasts!
