PLAINFIELD, NJ - An update from the Mercado family:  Chica was found in Bound Brook and returned to us! Thank you to everyone who supported us in this recovery of our beloved Chica. We sincerely appreciate all of your efforts, love, support, and dedication.

Chica, a three years old Shih Tzu in Plainfield, wiggled out of her collar and ran off at about 5:00 pm on Thursday.

She is an intact female (because of medical conditions, she cannot be anesthetized) and is an emotional support dog for Guadalupe's dad. She was last seen at the 1000 block of West Front Street.

The Mercado family asks that you all please share our posts. Our beloved dog Chica has gone missing and we are devastated. We plead that the residents and community members of the Plainfield and North Plainfield Area please share to bring awareness in hopes that someone finds her and returns her to us. May God help whoever finds her have a good enough heart to return her to her family.
