Plainfield, NJ – On Wednesday, February 8, 2017, Mayor Adrian O. Mapp will deliver his annual Mayor’s State of the City Address. The address will begin at 7 PM at the Plainfield Senior Citizens Center at 400 East Front Street and will end at 8:30 PM.
The Mayor’s State of the City Address will feature administration accomplishments in the areas of; Public Affairs and Safety, Economic Development, Municipal Finance and Administration, and Community Engagement.
Additionally, the address will also feature some incredible future thinking initiatives that will positively impact Plainfield’s youth.
Chief of Staff John Stewart said, "We are excited to hear the Mayor's State of the City Address as the Mayor is very passionate about all of our residents, youth, and seniors. And we cannot wait to get started and execute on his innovative initiatives."
In addition to the address, there will be community service awards presented to a resident from each of the city’s four wards,
Regarding the State of the City Address, Plainfield Mayor Adrian Mapp had this to say; "2016 has been a fantastic year. We have witnessed dramatic changes to our city landscape, and our city’s financial health. Our community has mobilized like never before, and there is a new sense of optimism about our future as a city. It's an exciting time, and I am thrilled to be a part of this renaissance and share that through the State of the City Address."
