PLAINFIELD, NJ - At approximately 4:15 PM, Plainfield Police Units responded to a two-car motor vehicle crash in the area of Putnam Avenue and Richmond Street.

Six individuals were injured with ages ranging from mid twenties to mid fifties.  The most serious injury reported at this time is to an occupant with facial trauma and another occupant with a serious leg injury.  

There were no pedestrians or children involved.  All injured occupants are being transported to an area hospital for treatment. 

The cause of the crash is presently under investigation by the Plainfield Police Traffic Unit.
