Discovering Common Sense
Thomas Paine played a significant role in both the French and the American Revolutions. This famous Bordentown resident wrote “Common Sense,” a call to action in seeking independence from England. His 47-page pamphlet sold many copies and is credited for stirring the Colonists to organize. One line from his book is a great reminder to couples and singles alike:
“We have it in our power to begin the world over again.”
Whether it’s a couple with a problem or a single struggling on the dating scene, situations need to be addressed. When we neglect a negative it’s guaranteed to fester, becoming something bigger and harder to overcome. It’s common to overlook the bad but it’s more important to be uncommonly proactive; address the problem straight off, find a solution and overcome it.
