PLAINFIELD, NJ - The annual school supply drive conducted by Netherwood Heights Neighbors is currently underway, and will benefit students at both Cook Elementary and Woodland Elementary in Plainfield.

The collection, led by residents David Beverly and Harold Spingarn, will run through Aug. 31st.  Items being requested for the school children include:

  • colored construction paper
  • individual erasers
  • both left & right hand blunt end scissors
  • two-pocket folders
  • spiral bound 3-hole notebooks
  • copier paper
  • and more!

On the Netherwood Heights Neighbors Facebook event page, Treasurer Michael Townley noted that the Rotary Club of Plainfield-North Plainfield will donate 24 backpacks filled with school supplies.

All donations can be left on the front porch at 1355 Denmark Road in the Netherwood Heights section of the city.
