PLAINFIELD, NJ - The Plainfield Public School District has received a $100,000 grant  from the New Jersey State Department of Education's Office of Innovation so the district can offer 90 additional students summer enrichment classes.

The grant will fund Plainfield Public Schools InnovateNJ Summer Learning Camp, in collaboration with 21st Century Learning Centers, School Based Youth Services, and Plainfield Community Outreach at Clinton Elementary School and Maxson Middle Schools sites from July 5-Aug. 12 weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. 

The PPS InnovateNJ Summer Learning Camp will provide summer enrichment classes for students in grades 3-8 and will be based on the station-rotation model, with learning centers in the classroom where the children will rotate in core classes of English, Math, Language Arts and Science.
