OBITUARY FOR THOMAS L. CARISONE, SR.

Thomas L. Carisone, Sr., 78, of Green Brook passed away on Friday, October 24, 2014 at Overlook Hospital in Summit.  Born on October 22, 1936 in Plainfield to Frank and Mary (Tedesco) Carisone, he lived in Plainfield before moving to Green Brook in 1970.

Mr. Carisone was a Firefighter for the Plainfield Fire Department for 32 years, serving as Deputy Chief. He was also a building sub code official for the Township of Green Brook for 20 years. Tom was a member of the FMBA in Plainfield and attended the Church of the Sacred Heart in South Plainfield.

Mr. Carisone is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Toni Carisone of Green Brook, his three beloved children, Thomas L. Carisone, Jr. and his wife Nicky of Ramsey, Bryan R. Carisone and his wife Mary of Branchburg and Donna Schiavoni and her husband Michael of Piscataway. Tom will be missed by his 12 cherished grandchildren; Dean, Michelle, Nicholas, Marielle, Brianna, Talia, Alexandra, Christopher, Gabrielle, Matthew, Amanda and Anthony. He is also survived by his brother Frank Carisone of Florida.

Visitation will be on Sunday, Oct. 26th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm at the South Plainfield Funeral Home, 2456 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10am at the Church of the Sacred Heart in South Plainfield.  Tom’s entombment will follow in Somerset Hills Memorial Park in Basking Ridge.  In lieu of flowers donations may be sent in Tom’s name to the charity of your choice.  Condolences may be sent to www.southplainfieldfuneralhome.com.
