PLAINFIELD, NJ - The Plainfield High School baseball team has been seeded 11th for the Union County Tournament and will play at sixth-seeded Elizabeth Saturday at 11 a.m. in the first round.

The Cardinals have a 7-3 record. Their most recent victory was a 13-8 decision over Union Catholic earlier this week. Steven Sanchez had three hits in that victory and Waldy Arias, Alex Mullen and Edilberto Mercado each had two hits.

In a 7-4 loss to Rahway on Wednesday, pitcher Jose Batista allowed just two earned runs in six innings.
