PLAINFIELD, NJ — Plainfield celebrated its 9th Annual Queen City Historic 5K Walk/Run for Life on Saturday at City Hall.  The day's theme was "Celebrating 150 years of Historic Sports and Progress," and the race was a sight to see.

“This is our ninth year, and every year we try to make each year better. I am so proud of the people that came by to support this event,” said Darryl Clark, Founder of the Annual Run/Walk for Life.

Clark founded the race in 2011, where he believed that beginning this historic race would help bridge gaps in the community. The mission of the 5K Historic Walk is based off of Five Pillars: Unity and Engagement, Self-Awareness for All, Legacy of Plainfield, Health Awareness, and Raising Funds.
