PLAINFIELD, NJ - Jaime Glover is the Station Manager of PCTV, Chairman of The Plainfield Cable Advisory Board, CEO of ShangoSoul Entertainment, and a Member of The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.
Glover has worked with the City of Plainfield since 2011. In his capacity as Station Manager, he creates original programming for the City's local Station, PCTV. He also handles the shooting, producing and editing of the programs, and schedules the line up of programs for airing.
Glover was recently honored with four nominations: Best Director, Best Actor, Best NJ Drama. and Best Horror/Thriller at the Brightside Film Festival in Jersey City, NJ for his short film INITUS.
INITUS tells the story of Hell on earth as a group of four people fight for their lives, while the fate of the world hangs in the balance. "God created the heavens and the earth in 7 days. Did man just destroy it in ONE?"
On July 30th, INITUS was presented with the Runner Up award for Best NJ Drama Film.
Shot in 48 hours on location in Plainfield in late 2016, with a cast and crew from the city that included former interns and current employee of PCTV- Azumi Baba N'danami, Paul D'amico, Television Production Instructor at the Plainfield Academy for the Arts and Advanced Studies, All the Boroughs of New York, and local support from United Methodist Church.
The film is currently being considered for film festivals in Texas, New York, Canada, Toronto and California, with additional invites for NJ festivals in 2018. There are also talks in the works to have local viewings around Plainfield, so stay tuned!
This was Glover's directorial debut and he looks forward to continued growth and artistic expressions in future film projects, as well as creating new programming that will debut on PCTV.
His Production Company, ShangoSoul Entertainment, has also produced the award winning Documentary 'When I Grow Up' by Shonte Smith.
