On Friday, February 24, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. Mayor Adrian O. Mapp, members of the Plainfield City Council, and ABC Supply Company executives will be joined by New Jersey Redevelopment Authority Executive Director Leslie Anderson and South Second Street Redevelopment Partners (J.G. Petrucci & Company and TD+Partners) to cut the ribbon on a new 44,000 square foot facility for ABC Supply Company, a major national wholesale supplier of building and construction products. This state-of-the-art facility is part of a multiphase $30 million housing and economic development project that includes a new 5-story building consisting of 90 units of affordable housing.
This ribbon cutting signifies the completion of phase one of the redevelopment of a brownfield site that was vacant for 30 years. Additionally, this is the largest mixed-use economic development project in the Fourth Ward of Plainfield in over 50 years.
