PLAINFIELD, NJ - The Plainfield Public Library is looking for a part-time Computer Lab Assistant with excellent technological and customer service skills to work in its Computer Lab.
Intermediate to advanced computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office 2010, Internet Explorer, and Firefox are required.
The selected employee will be supervising use of the computer lab, conducting Jersey Job Club training, and providing general search assistance to job seekers. The employee will also be responsible for keeping records of lab usage and producing monthly activity reports. The employee will be expected to be able to troubleshoot basic technical issues as they arise.
The position offers at least 15 hours per week and the selected candidate must have flexible availability including evening, daytime, and Saturday hours. The starting rate is $14.00/hour.
This is a grant-funded position that will run through May 31, 2017.
Familiarity with the Comprise SAM software and Faronics Insight, library experience, job coaching experience, and being bilingual (English/Spanish) are preferred but not required.
