Tuesday’s BOE meeting began with a recognition ceremony for the districts 13 longest serving employees, representing a combined total of over 600 years of service. Following a dinner and entertainment provided by the PAAAS Jazz Project, the presentation of award began with a brief welcome and opening remarks. According to Board President, Richard Wyatt, despite all the changes in administrations and the student demographics, these employees have been a constant and have remained in the district for over three decades. Wilma Brown was the longest serving employee with 51 years is currently a school counselor at Woodland School and will be retiring this year. Other honorees included :

Donna Brown, 36 yrs Special Services
Keith Butler, Coach, 36 yrs Plainfield HS
Brenda Hackett, 35 yrs Emerson High School
Audrey Fenton, 35 yrs, Clinton School
