PLAINFIELD, NJ - The Plainfield School District's annual Science Fair and Awards Ceremony on June 2 will feature keynote speaker and Hidden Figures icon Marion L. Johnson.

Johnson, a mathematician and former engineer at Boeing, worked on the Moon Space Mission as directed by President John F. Kennedy, “to land a man on the moon and return him to earth safely.”

The Science Fair will celebrate all of the students who won their schools' science fairs and the champions of the district-wide competition.

This special event will be held at Plainfield High School, located at 950 Park Avenue, at 6:00 pm, with light dinner.

Awards will be presented to first, second and third place winners of the Plainfield Public Schools’ Science Fair Competition.
