Plainfield, NJ – August 21, 2019 – Plainfield Public School administrators joined efforts by the City of Plainfield to donate bottled water to the City of Newark. School administrators, who are gathered for their annual retreat before the start of school on September 5, donated over 50 cases of water. On hand to receive the water were Shep Brown, City of Plainfield Director of Health and Social Services and Councilman Charles McRae, (D) Third Ward. Plainfield Public Schools’ representatives Ms. Gina Ogburn-Thompson, Vice Principal of Evergreen Elementary School, and Gloria Montealegre, Community Engagement Liaison, delivered the cases of water at the drop off site behind Plainfield City Hall.
