PLAINFIELD, NJ - Resources to provide assistance to individuals who are on parole and who were recently incarcerated are available in Plainfield and surrounding towns.
The Reconnections Program is an ongoing one that provides assistance with employment, education, social services, legal issues, and healthcare, drug, and mental health treatments; it also provides mentoring.
The program is available at the One Stop Career Center, located in Plainfield at 200 West Second Street, on the second floor. Walk-ins are welcome on Mondays and Tuesdays from 10 am to 12 noon. Participants must be 18 years or older, and be a Union County resident.

New Jersey Reentry Corporation (NJRC) is a non-profit agency whose social mission is to remove barriers to employment for those returning from incarceration.
NJRC clients can enroll in a free, one-week orientation program to learn essential skills like resume writing, participate in job readiness workshops, and schedule medical and dental appointments.
Additional services include case management by which clients receive assessments from licensed social workers; guidance from employment specialists as individuals navigate through job searches; and access to lawyers on staff who provide free legal assistance to help clients obtain identification, and resolve legal issues.
