PLAINFIELD, NJ - As part of his contribution for winning the schools fundraising event, Michael Robbins, a second-grader at Frederic W. Cook School, had the opportunity to sit in his principal's desk and act as Principal For a Day.
Dr. Caryn Cooper willingly gave up her desk for about one hour. Robbins said, “It’s great.” His message to students, “Do your homework.”
Robbins was in the role as principal as the school celebrated Veterans Day last week and he was able to introduce himself to the guests and shake the hands of the veterans who were in attendance. He also shook hands with the teachers near the principal’s office as they left their classrooms with students.
Michael wants to be a police officer when he grows up.
