PLAINFIELD, NJ - On Saturday, Nov. 19th, the Plainfield Symphony Orchestra presented the second performance of its 2016/2017 season, led by Charles Prince in his eighth full season as Conductor and Music Director.

Evelyn Estava, the violin soloist in the first half, performed the world premiere of Leonard Benstein's "On the Town Rhapsody" for solo violin and orchestra.

Once the crowd was back in its seats after intermission, the talents of Kerstin Anderson, Adam Levy, Elizabeth Stanley, and Tony Award nominee Ron Raines were on display as they performed hits by lyricist and composer Stephen Sondheim.  Broadway veteran Stanley was brilliant in "Worst Pies in London", with rolling pin in hand, and "Getting Married Today".
