PLAINFIELD, NJ - It's that time of year when we fire up the grill, gather our family, friends, and neighbors, get the burgers and hot dogs sizzling, and soak up the unique warmth and camaraderie that is synonymous with summertime.

Plainfield is a special place to be in the summer, and we have much to anticipate. From the 4th of July Parade to National Night out, Movie Nights in the Park, to sun soaked days in one of our three City run pools and our Summer Concert Series. There is something for everyone to enjoy and this is the time of year when Plainfield Pride is truly on display!

As we savor the warm temperatures and revel in the abundant sunshine, let's remember as we have fun, to be considerate of our neighbors; keep the music levels neighborly and keep our area(s) clean. We remind our village to keep a watchful eye on our young people as they shed the responsibility of the school year and assume summer's carefree mantle. We are the keepers of all our children, and we want them to be safe as they have fun.
