We are on a mission to build a more perfect city one project, one home, one family, one school, one child at a time.
Some may say that perfection is impossible to achieve. I say that perfection lies in the level of satisfaction you feel about your quality of life, and everything that affects it.
So how do we build a perfect city? We pay attention, we listen, and we work hard to change outcomes in areas that are not meeting expectations. This is why we are redeveloping Plainfield one deliberate project at a time; this is why we are seeking to expand our tax base and bring some relief to our current residents and homeowners. This is why we are improving and expanding our recreational facilities and activities to provide wholesome activities and spaces for our families and especially our young people. This is why in the last year alone we re-surfaced over 17 miles of roadway in Plainfield. This is why our first responders are dedicated Plainfield residents who care about giving back to our community by mentoring and interacting in positive ways with our residents.
A perfect Plainfield means providing opportunities for residents to better their lives; this is why we have hosted job fairs and put residents in direct contact with potential employers. This is why the "Healthy Plainfield" initiative was born, to change not only physical outcomes but to facilitate lifestyle changes and sustain them in the long-term. We have partnered with dedicated organizations to provide resources for the most vulnerable among us to make lasting changes in their lives.
Plainfield, the pursuit of perfection is not an easy or smooth road, it takes planning, finding the answers that fit our needs and most of all it takes patience. As they say "Rome wasn't built in a day." We have come a long way in a short amount of time, but there is further to go, I am dedicated to pursuing perfection for Plainfield, I am committed to improving the quality of life for every single resident, I am passionate about bringing opportunities and resources to our communities. I am determined to see Plainfield enjoy the "perfection" it deserves, and I am resolved not to falter.
Our Queen City deserves no less than perfection and working together we can build a more perfect Plainfield.
