PLAINFIELD, NJ - The Queen City Academy Charter School in Plainfield will be holding a Unity Day family event.
Chartered by the State of New Jersey in 1999, QCA prides itself on the achievements of its students through the Positive Referral Program as well as Battle of the Homerooms. The students are both educated and nurtured to become independent thinkers through the H.O.P.E. (Helping Other People Everywhere) Club, Chess Club, Student Council, and QCA Crier (the school's newspaper).
The aim of this family-friendly event on Saturday, June 17 is to learn more about health programs and resources within the Plainfield community. There will be free screenings for glucose, cholesterol, blood pressure and HIV.
Local vendors will be on site. Expect a fun time, with food and drink, raffles and prizes, bounce houses, a dunk tank and face painting.
Stop by the Queen City Academy Charter School from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. The school is located at 815 West 7th Street in Plainfield.
