PLAINFIELD, NJ — The Plainfield Municipal Utilities Authority released the following service advisory Tuesday.

ALL ZONES: Due to Tropical Storm Isaias and the forecast of impending severe weather, PMUA closed today at 12:30 p.m.

Business will resume Wednesday, August 5, weather and road conditions permitting. Paper recycling collection will go on as normally scheduled, in addition to any missed garbage pickups from today’s weather interruption.

PLAINFIELD WEST END ZONES 1, 2, 5, 7, 8 ONLY: If your scheduled garbage collection is interrupted by today’s forecast, please pull your black garbage carts in until the storm has passed, then return it the curb to be ready for early morning pickup tomorrow as well. Source separation and waste disposal rules apply.
