PLAINFIELD, NJ –Plainfield Academy for the Arts and Advanced Studies, or PAAAS, will host Glenis Redmond, the Poet-in-Residence at New State Theatre New Jersey in New Brunswick.

On Wednesday, April 26th at 9:00 am, students in Ms. Vanita Bentley’s Language Arts classes will have the opportunity to share their creative writing with Redmond.

Through her praise poems, Redmond tells stories of her life, her family, and her African-American heritage.  She travels extensively to read and teach poetry, which has earned her the title “Road Warrior Poet.”  To read more on Redmond, download the State Theatre New Jersey Keynotespdf.
