PLAINFIELD, NJ - Peter Pogany, owner of Rapps Pharmacy in Plainfield, is to be honored at Bridgeway’s 2nd Annual Chairman’s Dinner on April 19th at Kean University, hosted by the Board of Trustees.
Pogany has been a dedicated volunteer with Bridgeway for over ten years, and he currently leads their annual fundraising efforts. This year, the Annual Bridgeway Golf Classic will take place on June 5th at the Echo Lake Golf Club, and a Walk-a-thon at Somerset Patriot Park is scheduled for later this year.
According to Pogany, he was introduced to the organization and their work in the mental health area through his relationship with Cory Storch, President and CEO at Bridgeway, and several of his Rapp's customers. According to Bridgeway, Pogany has the distinction of being one of their largest donors and most loyal volunteers, and together they hope to raise at least $50K at the golf outing.
Bridgeway recently launched its “Stigma Free Zone Campaign” in Plainfield, aimed at raising awareness of the challenges associated with individuals facing mental illness, and creating a safe and supportive environment in the Plainfield community.
